Don’t let self-doubt win. Here are 3 tips to become a better digital writer
Over 12 months ago, I wanted to become a better writer and practice publishing daily.
I’ve learned a ton, but if I could go back and start again, here are 3 tips I’d get started with immediately:
- Start by writing what you know
- Build momentum
- Focus on familiar topics
- Build authority
- Have fun!
👉🏼Starting here helps keep you motivated
- Research to confirm what your would-be clients find valuable
- Stay relevant — what does your audience want to know?
- Listen for signals — engagement, ease of writing
- Helps identify topics/themes that resonate with your audience
👉🏼Your writing works WITH your audience
- Publish it!
- Put your work out into the world
- Feedback loops wins the race
- Double down on what is working
👉🏼Don’t let self-doubt win. Every word you write is an opportunity to learn and grow as a writer.
You’ll quickly earn trust with a new community. Some of them may be potential clients.
If you’re passionate about sharing your work online, writing is one of the best places to begin.
